Huzza!!!

Well, Here's an update....
We all got together and have been working on Thank you lists, credits, and lyrics. We are about 35% done with the layout of the record. Still need a few things. We have worked on the order of the tracks(still working on that). I have been listening to the songs exclusively and have some changes I want to make (minor changes) as well, there is a lot more work to be done, but we are excited. I have also been getting quotes on the production cost of the CD, things are looking promising..
On the status of the band... We are currently working with a new drummer. His name is John(Black Ops) He is an old friend from my days working at guitar center. He is very dedicated and works really hard. Hopefully we will be ready to play some shows once the record is done!! We will also be working on NEW material...NICE!!

I did it!! I did it!!

Last night I beat procrastination for at least one night. I got to the studio last night and actually got something accomplished..NICE!! I finished the additional backup vocals on one song and redid the main vocals for a song that I was not happy with. I also added backup harmonies to that song as well. Hurray!! So for tonight, I need to redo the intro that Kevin accidentally deleted and work on the layout of the album. And look I blogged again today! Thats Three days in a row. I have to get Will to post again on the progress the band has been making at practice. Stay tuned!

"What The Fuck Is a Blog?......."

So... here we are... on the "internet"... apparently everyday. we'll see how well i keep up with this. I'm the Old "Dirty" Major. i should start by saying i don't spend alot of time in "cyber space", or with technology in general, so any questions, comments or concerns regarding my postings are probably pointless.
well, now that we've become familiar with one another, let me get to the point. this is a blog, (it sounds very punk rock if you extend the vowel) which, i am told, is a guy writing about crap no one wants to hear about on a platform so large no one could find it if they wanted to. so, mom and ba, ("ba" means 'dad' in vietnamese, which is what i call my (step)-dad, on account of he's vietnamese... {southern, for those of you with left-over "hostile" war sentiment... save it for "Part II: Bush's Crusade"}-), and my brother Jason,... thanks for logging on.
so in case i haven't told you already, we're supposedly releasing our first full length album sometime this century. it is going to be called "The Power to Consume Ourselves", and upon detailed inspection, i feel it's appropriate to announce that we may or may not be rapidly approaching what may or not be the final draft of what may or may not be the cover art for said album. i'm sure you're as excited as i am. it would be hard not to. (i wanted to end that last sentence with the word "be", because it sounded better in my head, but i wasn't sure if it was a preposition or not. perhaps because of my poor, public school education)
on the other hand, we actually are wrapping up the butt end of the recording process as we speak... (i hope this isn't actually considered speaking), and are plunging fearlessly into the mixing phase... which, for all intents and purposes, we will call "Phase II"... [this, (fortunately, and 'un'...,) is almost entirely dependent on Kevin "Jones"; the mastermind and superwicked bad-ass behind the board]
I'll be sure to let you know how "Phase II" unfolds..... until then, i'll be trying to find some time to sleep. "No rest for the Wicked", eh? (hopefully that's step 3)
